1. What this is

99 Worlds ("the site") is a work of original speculative fiction published by DAOx LTD, a company registered in New Zealand. Everything on the site is free to read and supported by advertising. There are no paid features and nothing is for sale. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Copyright

All world dossiers, text, scripts, lyrics and illustrations are protected by copyright and belong to the author and DAOx LTD. Every illustration on World 001, The Eastward Lotus, is hand-painted by the author.

You are welcome to read, share links, and quote short passages in reviews, discussion or teaching, as long as you credit "99 Worlds (99worlds.art)" and link back.

If you want to use a world in your own work, whether fiction, a game, a tabletop campaign, a script or any other adaptation, write to us first. We are usually glad to say yes, especially for non-commercial work. We would simply like to know where it went.

Please do not republish, mirror or scrape pages or large parts of the site, and do not use its contents to train AI models.

3. The Lorekeeper

Each world's Lorekeeper answers in real time using an AI model and that world's dossier. Its answers may be wrong or may contradict the dossier, and they are not canon: the published dossier is. Answers are fiction and are not legal, financial, medical or any other professional advice.

Free questions have a daily allowance, which exists to bound costs and prevent abuse. Do not try to get around the allowance, automate large numbers of questions, or push the Lorekeeper to produce unlawful, hateful or harassing content.

4. Advertising

The site is supported by Google AdSense advertising. Ads are chosen and served by Google and are not endorsements by us. If you see an inappropriate ad, tell us which page it was on and roughly when, and we will report and block it. How advertising cookies work is explained in our privacy policy.

5. No warranty, and limits of liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, DAOx LTD is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

6. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms, and when we do the date at the top of this page will change. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Questions go to hello@daox.studio.
